Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (these “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Michinoba Co., Ltd. (株式会社ミチノバ), a company incorporated in Japan (“Michinoba,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and they govern your use of InteriorCapsule (the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service, and how our images and product links work

InteriorCapsule lets you upload a photo of your room and generates a redesigned version of that same room. Numbered chips on the furniture in the generated image link to real products sold by third-party retailers.

Please understand this clearly: the redesigned images are AI-generated design concepts. They are not photographs of real furniture and they are not a promise of any specific item. The products we link to are real items that resemble what you see — they are not guaranteed to be the exact item shown, and they may differ in appearance, color, material, size, and price. When you buy a product through one of our links, the purchase contract is directly between you and the retailer; we are not a party to that sale and we do not sell the linked products ourselves.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You may try the Service without creating an account. You may use the Service only if you are at least 18 years old, or if you are a minor with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Free trial, credits, and how they are used

• Free trial: new users get 2 free generations to start, with no sign-up required.
• Credits are consumable. Generating an image spends credits. Once a generation has run and produced a result, the credits used for it have been consumed and are not refundable.
• Automatic credit-back on failure. If a generation fails or is interrupted on our side (for example, a server error before you receive a result), the credits for that generation are automatically returned to your balance.
• Pack credits expire. Credits purchased in a one-time pack are valid for 90 days from the date they are granted. Unused pack credits that expire are forfeited.
• Prices for credit packs and subscriptions are shown at the point of purchase and may change. The price that applies to any purchase is the price displayed to you at the time you buy.

4. Subscriptions, automatic renewal, and cancellation

If you choose a subscription (a recurring weekly plan), the following terms apply, and we present the key terms clearly to you before you subscribe:

• Recurring weekly billing. The subscription bills on a weekly cycle. The billing frequency (weekly) and the amount are shown to you before you confirm, and the amount is the price displayed at purchase.
• It renews until you cancel. Your subscription automatically renews each week and continues to charge your payment method until you cancel. There is no fixed end date.
• Cancel anytime, online. You can cancel at any time from “Manage weekly plan” in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep access through the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that. We do not provide partial or pro-rated refunds for the remainder of a billing period.
• Renewal reminders. We send the renewal and cancellation reminders required by applicable law so you are not surprised by a charge.
• Weekly credits do not carry over. Subscription credits refresh to the plan amount each cycle and unused amounts do not roll over to the next week.

5. Acceptable use and your photos

You keep all rights you have in the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process that photo so we can provide the Service to you (generating the redesigned image, detecting furniture, and matching products) and to improve the quality of the Service. We do not publish your original uploaded photo; only redesigned images that you choose to make public may be shown publicly, and you can undo that choice at any time.

You agree that you will not:

• upload photos of identifiable people without their consent;
• upload content that you do not have the rights to use, or that infringes anyone’s copyright, likeness, privacy, or other rights;
• upload unlawful, harmful, or otherwise objectionable content, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, you may use the redesigned images we generate for you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. We do not grant you any rights in the third-party products, brands, or retailer content shown through the Service.

7. Affiliate disclosure

Product links in the Service may be affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change the price you pay the retailer.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” The redesigned images are AI-generated concepts and may contain inaccuracies; they are not construction plans, measurements, or a guarantee of any real-world result. Product availability, pricing, specifications, and delivery are set and controlled by the retailers, not by us, and may change or be out of date — always confirm the current details on the retailer’s page before buying. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the one (1) month immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for our own willful misconduct or gross negligence.

10. Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully; it affects how disputes between you and us are resolved.

• Binding individual arbitration. Except as stated below, you and we agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court. The arbitration will be administered by JAMS under its Consumer Arbitration rules (or the JAMS rules then in effect for consumer disputes).
• Small-claims carve-out. Either you or we may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims court if the claim qualifies and stays in that court.
• 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@interiorcapsule.com with your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, the small-claims and court terms still apply, but the arbitration requirement will not.
• Class-action waiver. To the extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You and we waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
• Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the state where you live that you cannot be required to waive by agreement.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the Service or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.
